Teaching Computer Science
a decade and counting
A decade of teaching computer science, from Scratch at Camp Galileo to the tools I ended up building myself.
I started teaching Scratch at Camp Galileo, and eventually developed new curriculum for Camp Galileo at the Tech Museum to gradually introduce students to Java through Greenfoot and BlueJ.
Everything below is downstream of noticing the same thing over and over: students don't struggle with concepts so much as with the distance between writing something and seeing what it did.
